When the Road Commission is paving or resurfacing a road or street, any existing paved driveway that is or extends to within 3' of the proposed edge of metal, shall be connected as part of and included in the cost of the paving the road or street.

When existing driveways are more than 3' from the proposed edge of metal, they may be connected with township approval. A line item for the work will be provided with the cost estimates. The townships can accept the estimate with or without the drive connection item. Townships shall pay 100% of connection cost.
